According to 42 order of the Ministry of Education & Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China, CQMU established Chongqing Medical University Admission Eligibility for Master & Ph. D. & Visiting Scholar (On trial) for 2018.
Eligibility:
1. In principle, master, Ph. D. applicants’ age should be no more than 35、40 years, general scholar applicants’ age should be no more than 45, and senior scholar applicants’ age should be no more than 50. Applicants must be healthy, both mentally and physically. Applicants should have solid financial support to afford the study and living expenses in China.
2. Applicants who graduated from foreign institutions must graduate from formal institutions of their country and achieve good results in school. Applicants who graduated from domestic institutions must have excellent grades, and experience in obtaining Chinese government scholarships or provincial or municipal scholarships.
3. Two recommendation letters of professors/associate professors;
4. Applicants with good performance in school (provide a certificate) and non-criminal record;
5. Applicants who graduated from the universities titled with “211” and “985” in China are preferred. Applicants who have become a doctor or licensed practitioner are considered priority admission.
6. Through SKYPE, QQ video, etc., supervisors will give students interview. Officially recruitment will be approved after all pass of interviews.
7. Applicant for master’s program should have got bachelor’s degree and applicants for Ph.D. program should have got master’s degree.
8. Applicant for clinical master’s program should have got MBBS bachelor’s degree.
9. Applicants whose native language is English or who are taught in full English in Bachelor or Master program can apply for the English medium program; Students from non-English-speaking countries should provide TOEFL scores (above 85 points) and IETLS scores (above 6.5 points) when applying for the English medium program;
10. Students under 18, and parents are not resident in China permanently, should provide guardian who live in resident in China permanently and related certificate of the guardian. Foreign applicants must provide valid passport or citizenship certificate with more than 4 years ' validity and more than 2 years' records of living out of China in recent 4 years (up to April 30 of the first semester). More than 9 months' records of living abroad can be regarded as one year's record based on the entry and exit record.
11. Requirements for applicant applying for Professional Degree and Academic Degree
Chongqing Medical University can provide Professional Degree and Academic Degree. Applicants should clarify what kind of Degree they apply for. And the requirements for applying for of professional degree are as below:
1) For Chinese language, applicants should pass HSK 4 or above.
2) Oral defense for graduation will be in Chinese, not in English.
3) Dissertation should be written in Chinese, not in English.
Note: applicants who cannot meet the requirements of the Professional Degree, can only apply for Academic Degree.
